1. What this is about
Our website auto-bauer.at only stores what is necessary for its operation on your device. Everything else – Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel – is only loaded once you give your consent in the cookie banner. Here you will find every cookie and browser storage entry we use, along with its purpose and storage duration.
The legal basis is § 165 para. 3 of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021 (TKG 2021): Strictly necessary entries may be stored without consent; all others only with your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR).
2. Cookies, browser storage, and pixels
- Cookie: a small text file that your browser stores for a website and transmits during subsequent visits.
- Session Storage: a storage area in the browser that is not sent to the server and is automatically deleted when the tab is closed.
- Pixel / Tag: a small script that reports a page visit to a provider (e.g. the Meta Pixel).
Fonts, scripts, and images are hosted on our own server. No connection to Google, Meta, or other third-party providers is established without your consent.

4. Cookies and storage used
4.1 Functional – Autohaus Bauer
These entries are set by us directly. They are not shared with third parties.

We do not use session cookies for forms. Protection against spam and rate limiting runs on the server using a non-reversible hash value, without cookies.
4.2 Statistics – Google Analytics 4
Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. We use Google Consent Mode v2: without your consent, the Google script is not loaded at all. Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses; data is deleted after 14 months. Transmission to the USA is possible; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. 4.3 Marketing – Meta Pixel
Provider: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland. For data collection upon visiting our website, we are jointly responsible with Meta (Art. 26 GDPR); any further processing is the sole responsibility of Meta. If a Facebook or Instagram account is logged in within the browser, Meta can associate the visit with that account. Transmission to the USA is possible; Meta is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More information in the Meta Privacy Policy.

4.4 External Media – YouTube
We initially display videos only as a preview image hosted on our server. Only after you click will the player be loaded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) provided by Google Ireland Limited. From that point on, YouTube may use its own cookies or browser storage for playback and settings; names and durations are determined by Google (Google Overview).
4.5 Without Cookies
- AI Chat (Google Gemini): The chat does not set any cookies. Your messages are only transmitted after you confirm "Start chat". Details in our Privacy Policy.
- Newsletter (Brevo): Subscription is handled via our server; Brevo sets no cookies on our website. Inside newsletter emails, Brevo measures open and click rates, see our Privacy Policy.
- Maps and Social Media: Links to Google Maps, Facebook, and Instagram are standard links. A connection is only established once you click on them.
5. Managing your consent
On your first visit, the cookie banner will ask for your preferences. You can choose which categories we are allowed to use by clicking "Accept all", "Only necessary", or "Save selection". We log your decision for verification purposes, including timestamp, a random identifier, and a truncated, irreversible hash of your IP address (retained for 13 months).
You can change or revoke your consent at any time with future effect. If you revoke consent, we delete the Google Analytics and Meta cookies as far as your browser allows.
6. Deleting cookies in your browser
You can delete or block cookies and browser storage at any time in your browser settings. Helpful guides: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. If you delete bauer_consent, the banner will ask for your preferences again on your next visit.
7. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection, as well as the right to revoke your consent at any time.
